(2005/USA. Directed by John Singleton. )
Four brothers reunite at the funeral of their mother, and vow to track down the people responsible for her murder.

Their mother was shot to death during a store robbery, and the sons are soon off to avenge her death.

This is probably a movie that shows just how “western” certain sections of America’s urban landscape have become. (Oh, wait a minute! This is a western!!! See John Wayne’s filmography.)

“Four Bothers” gives us lots of guns, lots of shooting, lots of blood and lots of stabbings. Oh yeah, there is also lots of drug usage, and lots of coarse violent language.

There are not a lot of pleasant topics, nor a lot of pleasant scenes, but it’s movie that will definitely get your attention. (As will an ambulance coming up quickly in your rearview mirror.) (1 hour 49)
