HOW WE RATE MOVIES
We rate films and movies on a scale from “1” to “31.”
Within that rating system, “1” is the best and “31” is the worst.
(The smaller the number, the bigger our recommendation!)
If you see only one film a month, see one we rate “1.”
If you see 31 movies a month, you’ll probably have to end up seeing one we rate “31.” (That is unless, of course, you are fortunate enough to have a ton of movies and films playing within your community which we have rated “9” or better.)
A “15” rating indicates an average film or movie (and “an average film” is faint praise indeed!)
In general? We recommend that you don’t bother seeing any movie or film which we rate with a number bigger than “9.” Time is short; the movies and films to see are many.
