Some Rules
1. Read all the grimble. Copy all pertinent parts of the ballot. Paste them into the body of an e-mail which you will send us at <50films@malouin.us> and make sure it’s in that in-box before 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, March the 7th
2. Pick an Oscar winner in each of the 24 listed categories. Fill in the Tie-Breaker category, and put your name and telephone number on the e-mail ballot.
3. E-mail your ballot to <50films@malouin.us>
4. “Best Motion Picture” category is worth two points. The other 23 categories are worth one point each. If you’d like to, you may make two choices for “Achievement in Directing.”
5. Winner will be whoever accumulates the most points in the 24 categories. In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by the Tie-Breaker. If no winner(s) is(are) achieved thusly, duplicate Prizes will be awarded.
6. Winner receives a 9.5-inch chocolate Oscar and a lovely trophy which is his or hers to keep until next year’s winner takes over.
Second Place gets a 9.5-inch chocolate Oscar.
7. Outgoing winner will also be treated to a bottle of cheap (that is, Spanish “cava”) “champagne” during the following season’s telecast. If our outgoing winner is not of a legal drinking age, or is not of a champagne personality, the champagne will be replaced by two cold six packs of Mountain Dew.
8. Please remember: you can enter the 8th
Annual Oscar Guess Fest without having seen all — or any — of the nominees or nominations. It’s just a guess fest involving chocolate!!!.
9. Contributions to defray A.J. Malouin’s personal costs of Trophies, paperwork, postage and similar expenses are Gratefully accepted, as offered. All monies received in excess of expenses will be donated to The National Committee For the Prevention of Child Abuse.
