TIE-BREAKER TWO…
The PRECISE time (EDT)— and to-the-second, please— at which the “Best Picture” Oscar
will be announced:
_______________
(Time will be recorded off Al’s PowerBook G4, which will be set by his cell phone’s signal & checked against Greenwich Mean Time at noon on Sunday, 22 February)
Your Name: ___________
SOME RULES…
1. Read all the grimble. Copy all pertinent parts of the ballot. Paste them into the body of an e-mail which you will send us.
2. Pick an Oscar winner in each of the 14 listed categories. Fill in both Tie-Breaker categories, and type your name on the e-mail ballot.
3. E-mail your ballot to <50films@malouin.us>
4. All entries must be in our in-box by noon EST on Sunday, 22 February, which is the day of the Oscars’ night. (Sooner would be useful.)
5. “Best Motion Picture” category is worth two points. The other 13 categories are worth one point each. If you’d like to, you may make two choices for “Achievement in Directing.”
6. Winner will be whoever accumulates the most points in the 14 categories. In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by Tie-Breaker One. If a tie still exists, winner will be determined by Tie-Breaker Two.
7. Winner receives a 9.5-inch chocolate Oscar and a lovely trophy which is his or hers to keep until next year’s winner takes over. Second Place gets a 9.5-inch chocolate Oscar.
8. Outgoing winner will also be treated to a bottle of cheap
(that is, California Korbel Extra Brut) champagne during the
following season’s telecast.
If our outgoing winner is not of a legal drinking age,
or is not of a champagne personality, the champagne
will be replaced by two cold six packs of Mountain Dew.
9. Please remember that you can enter the 7th Annual Oscar Guess Fest without
having seen all — or any — of the nominees or nominations.
10. Good Luck!
11. Have Fun!!!
